The 8:00 a.m. Exam

When you live downtown or on campus, an 8:00 a.m. exam isn't that bad. Unfortunately, I live neither downtown nor on campus. So, an 8:00 a.m. exam doesn't mean wake up at 7:00 a.m., it means wake up at 4:30 a.m., be out the door by 5:30 a.m., catch the 5:40 a.m. train and be downtown by 6:30 a.m. and on campus by 7:00 a.m.. #commuterlife am I right? Athleisure isn't my go-to look but I appreciate its existence and I think on days when you have to get up early, it's a great look that is easy to pull off with minimal effort.

Hoodie: Pull&Bear

A hoodie is a key piece to any "it's too early for this" look. Hoodies can sometimes look sloppy so try to find one that has a nice structure like this one from Pull&Bear. It has a cowl-neck hood and kangaroo pocket that give it some substance without making it too loose or ill-fitting.

Tote: Oak + Fort

Accessories can take you from 0 to 100. But if you're waking up at 4:30 a.m. like I am, I just want to go from 0 to 80. I love this leather tote because it's minimal and has a matte black finish that ties in the other accessories with the core pieces of the outfit.

Sunglasses: Warby Parker

I didn't have time to do an eye mask so I threw on some sunglasses. Anna Wintour may not approve of the whole athleisure trend but you can still channel her with a large pair of frames.

Shoes: Lacoste

Yes. I'm wearing sneakers. I know. This outfit could have been even more elevated with chelsea boots or any other pair of shoes but we're keeping it caszch. We want to be comfortable, remember? So instead of boots, I chose my new leather sneakers from Lacoste. Lightweight, soft, and 100x better looking than old beat up runners.
