Marc Jacobs Beauty Review

Since high school, I have been eyeing Marc Jacobs Beauty products. I started off with the Lip Lock Moisture Balm and then the Featherweight Finishing Powder (not included in the images), and now I have tested pretty much all of the products from its original release. These "Boy Tested, Girl Approved" products targeted both men and women with makeup products that both genders could use every day. So, are Marc Jacobs Beauty products truly re(marc)able?

Lip Lock Moisture Balm ($30): 3/5

I don't have this product anymore because although it was good, it wasn't a repurchase. The packaging was durable, it had a nice minty scent, and it did its job. However, lip balms with mint can dry out your lips with continued use which is what this lip balm did. Although it had a nice scent and moisturized my lips, it isn't worth the $30 price tag.

Remedy Concealer Pen ($47) in Shade 4 Late Show: 5/5

I love this under eye concealer! The packaging has a little window so you can see how much product is left. You dispense the product by clicking the silver tip, like a pen, and apply directly to the under eye area. The pen also has a stainless still tip which has a cooling effect and helps wake up tired eyes. The formula itself is super lightweight and comfortable to wear all day! If any man is going to buy a beauty product, start with this one. Eyes that are bright and awake make all the difference!

Re(marc)able Full Cover Concealer ($37) in Shade 4 Glow: 4/5

This was a monthly favourite in January! This concealer is truly re(marc)able because it is so full coverage. It has a nice, creamy texture that is easy to blend. However, because it is so full coverage, it looks like concealer so it's not something I reach for on "no makeup" makeup days.

Brow Tamer Grooming Gel ($30): 3.5/5

The formula in this product is great! God has blessed me with pretty thick brows so I don't fill them in but sometimes they can look a bit unruly. The Brow Tamer Grooming Gel keeps them in place without getting crusty or flaky. The only thing I don't like about it is the applicator. The wand applies way too much product and over applying this product will make it dry up and flake. So great product, but use sparingly!

Re(marc)able Full Cover Concentrate Foundation ($69) in Shade 44 Golden Medium: 2/5

I was really disappointed with this foundation. For $69, it was not worth it for me. Starting with what I love, it is an amazing full coverage foundation. The tiniest amount goes a long way, it blends beautifully, it's lightweight, and dries down to a demi-matte finish. However, it doesn't last. I have combination/oily skin and at the 3-hour mark, this foundation looked incredibly cakey in my t-zone and it was pretty much sliding off after 5 hours. I recommend giving this a try because if it works for your skin type it might be your holy grail, but for me, it wasn't worth the hype nor the price.
